In the 1970, Carrera offered 1:24, 1:32 and 1:60 scales for slot cars, and the slot-free "Servo" systems which allowed cars to switch lanes, guided by the guard rails on the outside. Due to the many systems offered, and fewer customers (Generation), Neuhierl had to sell his company in 1985, and took his own life. The new owners sold rather cheap products.

2012 Audi R8 LMS Ultra

The Audi R8 is synonymous to racing success. Previously used to name perhaps the greatest Le Mans prototype racer, the R8 was used to represent Audi’s supercar. The R8 name did not stay on the road though, as the R8 name made its way back to the track. Thanks to the R8 LMS GT3, Audi was able to dominate the touring car scene for the last 3 years, winning 12 different championships and winning a grand total of 115 races.
However, Audi, not resting on its laurels, created its successor that aims to continue the tradition. This successor is the 2012 Audi R8 LMS Ultra.

Thanks to the work of Audi’s subsidiary Quattro GmbH, the daunting task of improving an already strong sports car has been accomplished with great results. Using the inputs of those that owned the R8 LMS GT3, these inputs are then utilized to improve the Ultra. The result is a car that is made to keep winning and exceed even the loftiest expectations.

To make the ultimate ML, Mercedes Benz has gone to their resident tuner AMG to come up with a super SUV. There are a lot of things that they have done to make this truck go over the top. 2011 Wittera Chevrolet Corvette C5 Wide Body

What is with the 2011 Wittera Chevrolet Corvette C5 Wide Body? Aside from the fact that it is certainly one of the best cars that has a wider range of colors than any other, the Corvette C5 is a sophisticated and modern interpretation of an elegantly classic car. Sports cars have always been icons of the American driving experience, but Wittera did such a great job on the Chevrolet Corvette C5 Wide Body that no one would be able to deny its uniqueness.
The standard Chevrolet C5 has been improved and upgrades have been done to make it look exactly how it does – simple yet eye-catching. There are more than enough choices to choose from especially made to suit the different tastes one has in a car, and you have to admit it, Wittera did a great job on those options. You can choose deeper or flatter bumpers, with the first one highlighting the curves of the wide body front, and the second one for those that have significantly lower suspension.
Carbon fiber could always be used, while there is a cheaper option of a reinforced plastic made from glass fibre. Wheels are of many and different choosing and Wittera would help you fit all these options seamlessly in your 2011 Wittera Chevrolet Corvette C5 Wide Body.

2012 CCG Custom GT

The word custom in the CCG Custom GT quite literally means ‘you have a choice in what you want’. This is one sports car designed not only to provide as much fun as you normally have on the track, but also to provide the perfect feel for what a sports car should have on the road.
Exterior & Interior
The chassis of the CCG is made in the US and uses a tubular space frame in its design. This tubular frame design ensures that it has as much strength as it should in any given amount of weight. That translates to a car that can weigh less than most other sports car of its class.

The body itself can be made either in fiberglass or carbon fiber. The suspension uses coil-over springs and dampers, and was designed specifically for this car for maximum performance on the road and on the track. And the interior is done in black. The Interior can be redesigned according to what the customer wants, and how the customer wants it.

Performance

The engine also comes from the US, being a GM 7 liter power plant that produces 550 HP without any turbo charging. The six speed transmission is modified for use in this car by CCG themselves.
Additionally, the car itself can be ordered for use with LPG, or Liquefied Petroleum Gas, or what is known as auto gas. This makes the car greener than most other super cars since you essentially pay less and get the same performance with LPG than with gasoline.

2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Hall of Fame Tribute

Ron Fellows is one man who raced and never looked back. He was the typical race driver who only raced because he wanted to race, not just because we wanted to win.

The result was that Ron Fellows became the most be-medalled race drive to ever drive a race car and became the fastest man to drive a Corvette.

Recognition

Chevrolet thus gave Ron Fellow his due commendation by issuing a Limited Edition Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows tribute car. This special Corvette has a number of features that makes it stand out from the rest of the crowd, literally. The finish was done in Torch Red with white center stripes and complemented by black rims. The interior panel was done in ebony interior and adds a host of accessories to go along with it like a performance pedal package, special seats, steering wheels, arm rests, shifter knob and handbrake handle all done in black suede with read stitching.

The engine received special attention with a Z06 performance package to go along with the six speed transmission, magnetic ride control, the attention grabbing dual mode exhaust that is standard on all corvettes.

Features

Other features that make the Ron Fellows Tribute Corvette easily identified are the red brake calipers, blacked out headlights and housings, a special edition blacked out side mirrors, carbon fiber raised hood and a set of carbon fiber ground effects featuring a carbon fiber front splitter and rocker panel.

Finally, the graphics detailing on the exterior was done in such a way that describes the winning effort that Ron fellows did on each of the cars that he drove during each of his races, including the champion C5.R and the C6.R Corvettes from the American 24 hour version of Le Mans.

2012 H&R Springs Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Project Legend

Legends are hard to come by, especially in the automotive world. These slots are usually occupied by super exclusive vehicles that defy the limits of their time, but there are cars that were able to achieve legend status by performing superbly while being affordable. One of these legends is the Ford Mustang.

As a salute to the legend, H&R Springs created a limited edition Mustang. This is the 2012 H&R Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Project Legend.
H&R

H&R has been known as a manufacturer who has been able to produce time and again American cars inspired by European tuning techniques. However, it deserves to be noted that compared to most tuner cars, H&R made an effort to retain the natural essence of the Mustang.

Of course, as one of the best makers of suspension components in the world, H&R focused on the suspension department. Thanks to updated coil-overs and sway bars that have been tested in perhaps the world’s toughest race track, the Nurburgring, this endows the Project Legend quick cornering, sharp response and optimal feedback. And when coupled with 20 inch OZ Raffaello III wheels in both the front and rear, this car’s stance is formidable.

Performance

Then the trusty 5.0 liter Ford engine received much deserved love. With modified intake and exhaust systems and an Edelbrock supercharger, this Mustang has a maximum output of 640 horsepower.

And with an exclusive body kit and 15 inch disc brakes on all four corners, the H&R Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Project Legend has all the tools to hit the tracks all over the world, and win convincingly just like legends do.

1969 Holden Hurricane Concept Restored

This was one car that was not ever produced. Ever since being designed and built by Holden back in 1969, it was relegated primarily to backwater locations, languishing in dirty and unkempt garages until someone thought of trying to find this car and try to restore it.

Ahead of its Time
The Hurricane Concept car is truly one of kind and special car. Not only did it have the engine at the back of the driver, thereby making it a mid engine car, it also was the very first car to have a digital read out of its instruments. Not only that, the Hurricane was even the very first car to have a sort of navigational driver aid and a rear view camera.

This is something that we now take for granted but in the 1970s, they had no technology that can effectively do what we use now, that is satellites for GPS navigation. Instead, it relied on a system of embedded magnets on the road to be able to read where the car is going and give instructions on where to guide the driver.

Performance

Even the design of the car seems to be reminiscent of today’s high performance mid engine cars. The engine is a 4.2 liter V8 that produces 262 hp, which in 1969 was already quite a handful.

Other things that were duly noted on the car was an automatic air-conditioning that maintained the temperature inside the cabin and the use of what was a then none existent inertia reel seatbelt, also something that we take for granted nowadays.

2011 Ferrari SA Aperta

Ferrari exhibited during the 2010 Paris International Motor Show their limited SA Aperta (only 80 have been produced). This is in line with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Pininfarina. SA Aperta enjoys Ferrari’s signature V12 front engine. The aerodynamics of Asperta is outstanding because of the well positioned windscreen. The fact that Aperta stoops lower to the ground adds to its compactness. Aperta has a revamped chassis to assure a standard firmness similar to a Berlinetta. The weight of the chassis has also been reduced to deliver a high, dynamic performance.
The outline of the seats is cunningly emulated by the Aperta’s profile that curves back from the A-post up to the two aerodynamic fins. Ferrari has one of the most innovative technologies when it comes to exceptional driving experience.
This has been integrated in the Aperta when it marvelously exemplifies the sporty impression of the Ferrari 599 via the 670 CV engine underneath its bonnet.

Aside from the spaceframe, the Phantom EE also has distinct features such as a “6-Speed Gearbox” and “V12 Patrol Engine”. The gearbox was recently replaced with two electric motors and lithium battery packs to tightly mount the car’s rare side frames. The Phantom EE’s battery packs are made from combined cobalt, nickel, and manganese. The battery holds an average density of 230Wh/kg which is crucial in regulating battery recharges.
According to Ian Cameron, Chief Designer for Rolls-Royce motors, the Phantom EE’s overall concept and design complements well with the natural essence of the car in terms of light, space and other engine materials. Rolls-Royce Chairman and CEO Torsten Otvos spearheaded the official launching of the Phantom EE in Europe. The launching coincided with the “Global Driving Awareness” program in Asia, Middle East and North and South America.

2013 Lexus GS 350

Pebble Beach, California, the home of the legendary car show Concours d’Elegance, held witness to the unveiling of the 2013 Lexus GS 350. An all-new vehicle, it makes some tall promises that it hopes it can deliver. A world class luxury car that combines dynamic style, a comfortable interior, supreme driving dynamics, and innovative technology, it is a comprehensively developed car that seems to be ready to set the midsize luxury car world on fire.
Exterior & Interior

The styling of the new GS 350 is designed to be strong and agile, integrating some of the styling cues found in the LF-A, the Lexus supercar. But this car is not just designed to look sporty; it is designed to be sporty. This is done thru a lot of modifications. An aerodynamic body shell, a stronger chassis, a wider track, a fast shifting transmission, and a strong engine.

For those that would go inside the car, they would be surprised that the cabin is much more spacious compared to the past car. This is because Lexus has made an emphasis to cabin space, as well as trunk space. This is why despite having virtually similar measurements; the new GS 350’s cabin and trunk are much larger than the model it replaced.

Performance

A 3.5 liter V6 engine with direct injection produces 306 horsepower, making it one of the strongest cars on the segment. Coupled with a new quicker shifting transmission, it can gain speed real quick. Coupled with a more solid suspension, the handling matches this new found power.

It is still too early, but it is safe to say that the 2013 Lexus GS 350 has all the tools to be the next big thing in the midsize luxury class.

2011 Carlsson CK63 RS based on Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG

The Mercedes Benz CLS has a strange vibe into it. With its swooping shape, it has managed to combine the defining characteristics of a sedan and a coupe all at the same time. AMG, Mercedes Benz’s tuning arm, has created the CLS63 AMG mainly to satisfy those people that have an incessant craving for speed. But still, Carlsson has managed to bring out something more out of the already monstrous CLS63 with the 2011 Carlsson CK63 RS.

Power & Performance

A comprehensive aerodynamic package has been equipped with Carlsson in order to further accentuate the attractive lines of the CLS and also to improve its aerodynamic efficiency. A more aggressive presence is done using a front spoiler lip and black accents on the grille inserts. Additional aerodynamic equipment includes a discreetly shaped rear spoiler and a rear diffuser. This equips the car in preparation for its more powerful engine. The same 6.3 liter Mercedes Benz engine is upgraded with 2 turbochargers to increase output to 649 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque.

Body & Interior

Forged wheels are installed in this car, allowing for weight savings of up to 40 percent compared to a same sized wheel. F150 Super Snake

The F150 Super Snake is a cutthroat approach to the concept that Ford and Shelby companies came together to create. At first glance, it would appeal to you as an over-sized truck image of the GT500. This is no surprise as this truck has been inspired from the phenomenal Shelby GT500 that has made its mark in the automotive history.
Most people may have the impression that something that looks so powerful may not always perform well. With a V8 5.4-liter engine, this truck means serious business when you see it out on the road. It packs a whopping 475 horsepower rating that can literally sweep you off your feet. With a powerful engine that can take you to great lengths,
it will also require something great to stop it; thus, it has been designed to have 6 piston Shelby brakes. To be able to further enhance handling performance, the F150 Super Snake’ suspension was tightened and dropped 3 inches.

Alpina will try to polish its image and its motor sports pride when it enters its 6 series based B6 GT3 in the 2009 FIA European Championship next year fielding its own team, along with participating in a handful of high profile endurance races. The Alpina B6 S road car is the basis for the 2008 Alpina B6 GT3, and comes with a supercharged 4.4 liter V8 dolling out 530 hp, 725Nm and 535 lb. ft. of torque. That is more than enough to make it competitive with the rest of the field like Aston Martins, Ferraris and Lamborghinis. The B6 GT3 is not exclusively for Alpina's own works team. They plan to sell race ready versions to private teams and collectors who can afford the price tag.
Well known F1 and Touring Car drivers such as Niki Lauda, Jacky Ickx, Hans Stuck and Dieter Quester were behind an Alpina steering wheel on their winning three European Touring Car Championships. Alpina pilots also won the Nurburgring 24 Hours many a times and the 24 Hours of Spa in 1970. "We think that the BMW 6 Series, especially with the super charged, torque laden 4.4 liter V8 Alpina engine from the B6 S (530 HP, 725 Nm) provides the ideal basis to challenge pure bred sports cars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin within the framework of GT3 regulations", said Andreas Bovensiepen, Alpina proprietor. After 20 years staying out of racing, Alpina will field a factory team, running the 2008 Alpina B6 GT3 in the 2009 FIA GT3 European Championship.
