2011 McLaren MP4-12C GT3

Rookie luxury automobile designer and manufacturer, McLaren GT, is beginning to make waves yet again as they prepare to release their newest offering to the high-performance sports car market and the supercar automobile arena. The new McLaren MP4-12C GT3 is an unprecedented McLaren car configured for FIA *GT series racing since the McLaren F1 GTR model ceased production in 1997.
Emerging from a strategic tie-up with Mercedes-Benz that brought the limited production SLR McLaren sports cars between 2003-2009, McLaren GT has now developed its own flagship high-octane sports car scheduled to be launched in time for 2011 GT3 season—and rightfully so, given the long and illustrious race car pedigree quintessential to the McLaren brand. But the design, engineering and testing team at McLaren GT are not resting on their Laurels by keeping to their comprehensive development program so that the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 meets the discerning standards of the most formidable race car connoisseur.
This performance-balanced light-weight race car is innovative in engineering design specs: 12 C GT3 (de-tuned to 500 PS providing maximum power) and a 3.8-liter twin turbochargers ‘M838T’ McLaren V8 engine (with a power output of up to 493 HP) defined by a TAG-400 self-contained compact engine system and data logger for race cars designed and produced by McLaren Electronic Systems. To date, initial demands for the first 20 McLaren GT3 units exceed earlier expectations.

2011 Hennessey Venom GT

Hennessey Performance Engineering is tops in modifying engines. They can take an ultra sleek super automobile, and push it towards perfection. With Hennessey you can experience the best of the best.

At first glance, the Venom GT looks like the Lotus Exige. The Venom is an explosive fusion of British flair and American power. The 2011 Hennessey Venom GT received a make-over.
Performance
The exterior design looks like it comes out of Bruce Wayne’s or Tony Starks garage, but the car’s road power makes it a superhero in itself. The Hennessey Venom GT has for an engine a 6.2-liter LS9 twin-turbo V-8, similar to the engine on the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 one of the fastest production cars released. Airflow management was initially done on CAD. They used it to simulate airflow to improve the engine and body design.

The hood of the car cannot be accessed, although it contains two radiators with fans that help maintain the engine cool. Hennessey stresses the idea that the cooler the engine, the more horsepower you get. The car is offered in a mid-engine rear drive power-train with horsepower ranging from 725 to 1200. The drive train is provided by a Ricardo 6 speed transmission. The shifter is patterned after the Lotus, but upcoming models will see a switch to the Ford GT styled shifter.

Rumors abound that the Hennessey Venom GT has either tied or broken the record of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sports record of 267 mph. We have yet to hear from reliable sources to make the record official.

2011 Wittera Chevrolet Corvette C5 Wide Body

What is with the 2011 Wittera Chevrolet Corvette C5 Wide Body? Aside from the fact that it is certainly one of the best cars that has a wider range of colors than any other, the Corvette C5 is a sophisticated and modern interpretation of an elegantly classic car. Sports cars have always been icons of the American driving experience, but Wittera did such a great job on the Chevrolet Corvette C5 Wide Body that no one would be able to deny its uniqueness.
The standard Chevrolet C5 has been improved and upgrades have been done to make it look exactly how it does – simple yet eye-catching. There are more than enough choices to choose from especially made to suit the different tastes one has in a car, and you have to admit it, Wittera did a great job on those options. You can choose deeper or flatter bumpers, with the first one highlighting the curves of the wide body front, and the second one for those that have significantly lower suspension.
Carbon fiber could always be used, while there is a cheaper option of a reinforced plastic made from glass fibre. Wheels are of many and different choosing and Wittera would help you fit all these options seamlessly in your 2011 Wittera Chevrolet Corvette C5 Wide Body.

Ford Drift Cars

The Ford Mustang is not a cheap car for drifting, but you do get pretty good performance for your money. Not as good as the evenly priced Japanese competition, but very good nonetheless!

The older models are affordable though and are also ok for drifting.

The latest model was also used in the latest installment of the Fast & The Furious, Tokyo Drift, which has contributed a lot to its popularity for drifting. This Mustang however was actually powered by a RB26DETT converted to a single turbo, so no roaring V8 sounds.

The Mustang is one of the more popular drift cars in the States, but because it's quite expensive you don't see the newest model being used very often in the lower ranks of drifting.

If you see newer Mustangs drifting, it usually are drift machines fully prepped for professional drifting, like the drifting Mustang in the picture above. Older Mustangs on the other hand, from the 80's and 90's, are often seen and are great for Americans looking for domestic drift cars.

Power isn't going to be a problem, but the Mustang is, as usual for big American cars, pretty heavy. You will definitely need to do something about the weight. The stock suspension systems aren't very great either, so you will have to look into that too.

You could go as far as taking a '64 or '65 Mustang, but of course older cars like these need more work to set them up for drifting.

Bentley Mulsanne

The Bentley Mulsanne
By Grant Pearson
Bentley is one of the most famous names in the automotive industry. The name is essentially synonymous to the best in British car engineering, with its high level of sophistication, technology, manufacturing, and luxury, seen in all of its cars. Today, it is the brand of choice for many celebrities, businessmen, and affluent people, opting for famous models like the Continental T and the Azure that have placed very good numbers of Bentley sales. These 2 models, however, owe their lineage to a car named the Bentley Mulsanne, an iconic model that paved the way for many of Bentley's famous modern models today.
The Mulsanne, named after the "Mulsanne Straight" of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, was created with the intent of epitomizing the essence of what it is to be a Bentley car: high performance, topnotch luxury, advanced engineering. This was achieved by using some of the most expensive materials, machinery, and technology of its day, a truly top-of-the-line vehicle produced between 1980 and 1992.

Drive Right and Save Money!

Even people who love fast cars like to save money when they can, so if there were a few easy ways you could save money on the car you already own, you’d try them, right?

The reality is, there are several little things you can do every day that will add up to big savings after a few months, or a year. Here are just a few:
  • Be smart at the pump. While the myth that it’s least expensive to fill your tank in the morning has been disproven, it’s true that you’re perfectly fine using the lowest grade allowable. For most cars, that’s going to be 87 octane unleaded fuel, but some performance cars and hybrids might require more expensive gasoline. If you aren’t certain about what your car needs, check your owner’s manual.
  • Don’t guess, use GPS. Plot your route before you leave home, so you can find the shortest, fastest way to get from point A to point B, and be sure to follow the GPS system’s prompts. This will save time and gas, which in turn will save money. Don’t have a GPS system? Use the mapping function of your smart phone, but be sure not to check it while you’re actually driving. Instead, use a mounting bracket and hands-free technology.

Standard features include power mirrors and dual exhaust pipes, but there are a host of exterior options, including wheels in sizes ranging from 18 to 21 inches, heating and dimming capabilities for the mirrors, and fog lights. History of Drifting

Drifting might seem a sport for enthusiasts and young generation people but surprisingly it is quite prevalent is certain parts of Asia for a very long time. Just 30 years ago, this sport made its first appearance in All Japan Touring Car Championships. Kunimitsu Takahashi was a wonderful motorcycle driver who wanted to add more punch to this adventure sport. He started the drifting techniques to impress everyone so that this sport could be accepted on a world wide basis. He is famous for approaching the innermost point of a turn at high speed and then making a super drift. He had such a wonderful control over his car that he used to exit the turns at extremely high velocities. This helped in the growing popularity of the sport and his style as well. His fans were crazy to watch smoking tyres and dusty turns.
The acts of Kunimitsu inspired many other super drifters of that era. Keiichi Tsuchiya was another popular drift king who began practicing his skills on tougher and rougher terrains to gain a huge fan following. Though it was Kunimitsu who started this daring sport, but it was Tsuchiya who exposed this extreme talent in front of the world to gain more encouragement. In 1987, Tsuchiya’s videos of drifting cars were published and many popular tuning magazines marked it as a big event. Several enthusiasts became crazy for such a sport. This video, called the Pluspy helped magazine owners and shareholders to organize a major drift event called the D1 Grand Prix in Japan. Every turn was designed in a way that only a 100% drift efficient driver would be able to complete the race.

How to Drift a Car?

The adventurous sport of Drifting has taken the world by surprise. Be it the super stores or sport accessories shop, heavy mechanical stores or car accessories store, drift accessories have made their presence felt everywhere. Drifting is the need of this hour. Gone are those days when people used to enjoy good for nothing slow races. Now people need more action, more drama and risky challenges. Be it Hollywood or Sports channels, an action movie remains incomplete without a drift sequence and so does a cop drama episode. Though people enjoy this feast, but drifting is surely no child’s play. It requires months of practice to master a single move. Generating the smoke and the screech from the tyres isn’t that easy as it seems. Let us start our lesson on drifting.

First of all we will discuss the prerequisites for drifting. Obviously, the very first thing you need is a car. It should not be any ordinary car but a car that can serve the purpose of drifting quite well. It must have a well serviced engine and good transmission. It should be well equipped with safety kits like roll cage and special racing straps. It should be a rear four wheel drive car. If you are a beginner, then you should use the second hand tyres in the rear end. Though a limited slip differential is optional but it surely helps to learn better. You need a coach or mentor to watch your moves and help you improvise on them. You have to make sure that your car runs on manual transmission. It is practically impossible to learn using automatic transmission.

Honda Drift Cars

Famous for their V-TEC system, you don’t see the Honda S2000 all that often in drifting, but with money for some modifications it can be turned into a great drift car.
It’s one of the very few Honda drift cars and has a perfect 50:50 weight distribution, so it drives very neutral. For racing this is wonderful, but for drifting you wouldn’t mind having a little oversteer.
Something worthwhile mentioning is that the strength of the S2000’s chassis is super strong. Depending on your driving style this is, or isn’t a good thing. It takes a better driver to cope with such a stiff chassis, because a chassis that flexes more is also more forgiving.
