In the 1970, Carrera offered 1:24, 1:32 and 1:60 scales for slot cars, and the slot-free "Servo" systems which allowed cars to switch lanes, guided by the guard rails on the outside. Due to the many systems offered, and fewer customers (Generation), Neuhierl had to sell his company in 1985, and took his own life. The new owners sold rather cheap products.

2011 Infiniti FX


At a price ranging from $41,600 – $56, 400, the 2011 Infiniti FX is offered in three models. The Infiniti FX50 features a standard 5.0-liter V8 engine design rated at 390 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The Infiniti’s Variable Valve Event & Lift (VVEL) intake camshafts, which feature continuously variable lift control integrated with a Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), allow for a 6,800 rpm red-line.
Also offered is an advanced 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6, available on FX35 models. The V6 engine features an aluminum block and heads, electronically controlled throttle system, and has been tuned specifically for use in the FX35. The engine is rated at 303-horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Th FX 35 can travel from 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds and records a top speed of 137 mph while the FX 45 can travel from 0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds and records a top speed of 145 mph.


Only one transmission is offered on the 2011 FX – a 7-speed transmission that offers both a wide ratio of coverage and a wide lock-up area, as well as a manual shift mode, Downshift Rev Matching and Adaptive Shift Control (ASC). The FX is also offered with All-Wheel Drive, double-wishbone front/multi-link rear suspension and large 4-wheel disc brakes, along with available Continuous Damping Control (CDC), Rear Active Steer, and 21-inch lightweight aluminum-alloy wheels. The FX offers available Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA), Distance Control Assist (DCA), Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), and the Around View Monitor (AVM) – which provides a virtual 360° view of objects around the vehicle, helping it to maneuver in snug areas.
Enhancements to the FX for the 2011 model include: standard power rear lift-gate on all models, the previous Navigation Package content is added to the Premium Package on FX35, a new Deluxe Touring Package for the FX50 with Maple interior accents, 21-inch wheels and tires and aluminum pedal accents, black lacquer interior trim now standard on FX50, and one new color, Malbec Black. The Infiniti FX is alluring, whether sitting still or in motion, and its 2011 second-generation design comes with many refinements and its spirited performance remains intact.
