In the 1970, Carrera offered 1:24, 1:32 and 1:60 scales for slot cars, and the slot-free "Servo" systems which allowed cars to switch lanes, guided by the guard rails on the outside. Due to the many systems offered, and fewer customers (Generation), Neuhierl had to sell his company in 1985, and took his own life. The new owners sold rather cheap products.

Engine

The 2014 Stingray is fitted with a 6.2 Liter LTI V8 engine that combines advanced technology such as; Active Fuel Management, direct injection, and continuously-variable-valve-timing. With these advancements, the car is able to produce 450 horsepower and 450 lbs-ft of torque.
In turn, the power enables the car to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds. The engine is driven by either a new 7-speed manual gearbox with Active-Rev-Matching that predicts gear selection, matching gear speed for ideal shifts at any time; or the 6 speed automatic paddle shifter.

Performance

The new Stingray is also ranked as the most fuel-efficient Corvette, with a fuel efficiency rating that exceeds the current model's 26 mpg. A track-capable Z51 Performance-Package will also be fitted in this car and it comprises of a dry-sump oiling system, transmission and differential cooling, electronic limited-slip differential and integral brake.


Exterior

The exterior is made of lightweight materials including: carbon-nano-composite underbody panels, carbon fiber hood, composite fenders, rear quarter panels, as well as an aluminum frame that will help in shifting the weight towards the rear side for a maximum 50/50 weight balance.
The exterior also features a superior high-intensity discharge and LED lighting as well as racing proven aerodynamics.

Interior

The interior is composed of real carbon fiber materials and aluminum to help in keeping the overall weight down. The hand-wrapped leather seats feature lightweight magnesium framework meant for outstanding support.
